About

Hello, I’m Kendal, registered dietitian. I earned my Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Nutrition and Food Science and completed my dietetic internship through the University of Alberta. I’ve been in practice as a registered dietitian since 2010 with a focus on older adults and healthy aging.

My interest in food began in the kitchen and garden of my mother and grandmother. They instilled in me an appreciation of food, culture, and community by creating traditional meals to share gathered with others. My interest in the science and nutrition developed throughout my youth making a career in dietetics natural. I’m grateful for the opportunity to combine my interest in food, science, and nutrition to help others.

Paying attention to current nutrition science and trends allows me to share the most relevant and current nutrition knowledge as well as practical tips on how to utilize the science to help you age healthy.    Healthy aging includes prevention or management of diseases, preserving independence and physical ability, maintaining quality of life, and boosting longevity.
